Floor Sanding

The price that we quote you, not only includes the dust free sanding, but also the preparation of your floor: including lifting any carpet gripper rods that are nailed to edge of floor and disposing of any old carpet. This preparation is one of the most important aspects of this type of work.

When required, we replace damaged boards with our stock reclaimed boards, so as to get a near perfect match of the wood and age.

Floors then have to be fully cleaned and dried ready for the coating.

Sanding and Varnishing

We use only the top quality products to stain and varnish your floors.

A 100% polyurethane finish.

The same varnish that goes in your home has also been used in Harrods!
It is a low odour, water based product which is also slip resistant. In areas that have very heavy wear and tear specialist materials can be used to give a durable service which can be guaranteed for up to ten years.

Wooden Floor Staining

In this picture, a traditional brown stain is being used.

A sealant is then applied followed by a number of coats of floor protection.

Staining allows flexibility in matching the floor colour to surrounding furnishings and decoration.

Traditionally browns have been used, however we do have a large selection of colours shown to the left.

Wooden Floor Lacquers

In this picture the finished wooden floor was stained with dark oak, and then finished with high traffic varnish.

We use only the highest quality wood floor products.

In fact the same material that has been used in Harrods!

Parquet Sanding

Due to the way that parquet flooring is laid, specialist sanding equipment is employed.

The technique involves a circular sanding motion - a skill learnt over many years by our workman..
